New Website Launch!

After many months of my husband nagging me to rename and redesign my website, I finally made it happen today! I have changed my official business name to Rosemary Rogers Photography. Many other photographers were using titles with the word "capture" in them and it was becoming confusing. I have an unusual name and I like it, so I decided to use it. Along with the new name comes a clean and classic look. I am still in the editing phase but I couldn't wait until I got it off the ground! It was very difficult to decide which pictures to post on the site because I have thousands and thousands of wonder faces and moments captured through the years. Be sure to check it out to see if you see your face or someone you love! I hope you enjoy the new look of the website and I hope to get many calls for future weddings!

This Christmas, Mark received a very special gift from Uncle Bennie.
We rode the Polar Express and enjoyed all is magic and wonder. It was particularly special because the train station was completely covered in a blanket of white snow making the trip seem even more like the north pole. It was a special trip for all of us, but will hopefully become one of Mark's most special memories of christmas time.....we can't wait to carry out the tradition again next year.....Thanks Uncle Bennie!!!!! Ginny and Richard brought the boys over on the golf cart for some Halloween pictures....and they were such cute cowboys! We also did some fall photos of the boys and I loved how they turned out! I still can't keep from laughing when I say "cheese" and they say "cheeseburger"! Mark also had fun because he got not just one, but 2 buddies to play with after the photo shoot!

Granny's House...

This video was a project I did for my Social Studies class. We were asked to create a project around a family artifact and create a historical timeline around it including facts and events throughout history. I chose my granny's house because it has been in our family for over 85 years and it is the place that many folks call home....not just in our family. I hope the video brings you as much pleasure as I had spending time with my grandmother finding out all of the details. Most of the photos I had never seen before and the music is from her brother, Carol Best, one of the greatest banjo players in Haywood County. I am proud to share with you the story of my Granny's house.

A few weeks ago I photographed a family who had come from all over the United States in honor of one woman....Florence Mateer. Florence was celebrating her 100th birthday....and what a party it was! Florence was born in 1910 and lived through WWI, WWII, the Depression, and Y2K. She was a Senior Games medal winner for many years and still loves life to the fullest. This weekend was all about kids for me! I did 4 sets of photos this weekend including Brody, the Mostellar twins, my neice Gabriella and my little nephew, Teague (pictured here). Curran Family.......Fun times

This week I am trying to post all of the photos that I have done earlier in the Fall. I am sure that they are anxious to see their photos.....I certainly hope it is worth the wait. This particular album is the Curran Family. Cindy bought a gift certificate that I donated to the Relay for Life silent auction last year. Yesterday was really the most beautiful day we have had in quite a while...and what a great day to spend on top of a mountain! These photos of Brooke and Steven were made at Haynes Rock in Haywood County. I really did not appreciate how beautiful and vast the mountains were until I stood upon that rock myself! Yes, I got on the rock....while the cows watched in disbelief. It seemed as if God himself just placed the rock there with his hands........so amazing!

We had a great time, 4-wheeling up the mountain and watching for snakes. Brooke and Steven chose this place because it is where they began as a couple. Here are a few of the photos....the rest will be posted this week on my shutterfly page as a complete album. Be sure to check them out! By the way, the photos are beautiful, but they do not do justice to Haynes Rock. You really had to be there!
